Bishop Jeffrey Lee is coming to Grace Church, Pontiac
Sunday April 18, 2010 : There will be one service at 10AM

candidates for Confirmation
& Linda Foth will
renew her vows on the 50th anniversary of
Grace Church at the current
location. Come greet our Bishop of Chicago and
celebrate with our
parishioners who will make their public profession of
faith.
Potluck lunch follows the worship

All in the community are welcome, so please invite

or anyone who would like to come and meet our Bishop.

Liturgy and Worship
Services & Bible Study:
10:30 am and 6:30 pm
Eucharist for Ash Wednesday
with imposition of
ashes in the chapel.
- During Lent there is a 10:30 am midweek Eucharist for
those who can't
come in the evening.
- Our Lenten program focusing on studying the Parables
of Jesus using an
informal conversational style format began
on 2/24/10 and will continue
on Wednesdays 3/3; 3/10, 3/17 and 3/24 with
youth activities.
- We meet at 5:30 pm for a Lenten potluck dinner (soup,
light entree, salad,
simple dessert). Each session starts at
6:15 pm for one hour of
study
conversation, then closes with Compline.
Anyone is welcome to attend
the
sessions and you are encouraged to invite
F.R.A.N. to join us on
Wednesdays for some good fellowship and
interesting thought
provoking
discussion and worship.
- Holy Week Liturgies start on Wednesday (3/31/10) with
Tenebrae at 6 pm.
The Triduum service schedule is (4/01)
Maunday Thursday
- 7 pm Eucharist with
foot washing; preceded by 6
pm Agape Meal;
9 pm - Midnight: Chapel night
watch at the Garden of
Repose.

of the Cross (Contemporary)
6:30 pm Good Friday - Service
of Solemn Prayers with
Reserved
Sacrament of Holy Communion
9:30 am Holy Saturday - short
Morning Devotion followed by
Altar
Guild preparations

Chapel w/blessing of 1st

10:00 am Principle Celebration of the

9:00 am Egg hunt for religious prizes
in the parish hall with
continental
breakfast
11:00 am Egg hunt for candy outside
with festive brunch in the
parish hall

$7.00 per family plus a
grocery donation to the LCCP food pantry. The monthly

Out" is open to the community.
